I think John should just delete the file as it's kind of absurd, someone that he do not know at all send him a mail with attached file that has unknown content. The mail may sound real but it may have any content that's totally different as what was mentioned in the mail. The sender made use of real information and actions of his cousin in writing of mail. The actions of his cousin can be fiction that he made up to convince John. It's one of the ways people use to trick receiver of the mail to open any attached file or forward it. If the sender really have some sort of effective medicine, the government or authorities will be annocing to the public. In conclusion, John should just treat it as a junk mail and delete it without opening attached file, buying the medicine and even forwarding the mail. He may report to the administrator if possible such that history will not repeat itself again.
We should not be beliving any information sent by unknown people especially when it comes to money and health affairs. The authenity of these informations are not ensured. Never easily trust the informations.
